Bishkek, December 20, 2021 - Today in Bishkek, the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with the National Federation of Girls concluded a mobile film festival for human rights and the rule of law. The mobile film festival was held as part of the project "On Human Rights and the Rule of Law for Girls", which featured 98 short films made by girls from five different regions across the country.
Mr. Zhenishbek Arzymatov, UNDP Senior Advisor on Democracy and Rule of Law, said: “Human rights and the rule of law are paramount in the Constitution and laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, and awareness of this issue, especially among girls, contributes to the development of legal awareness. Therefore, through this project, UNDP is dedicating a film festival among girls living and studying in rural areas to this topic and promoting the principles of the rule of law.”
During the event, the results of the mobile film festival were summed up and the winners received prizes. The following five students were the winners of the festival.

It should be noted that the project has already organized trainings for local girls on human rights and the rule of law. The trainings were supported by the Expert Council of the Girls' Federation, representatives of the National Movement "Girls Together" and the movement "Fathers Support Girls".
In total, the Mobile Film Festival received 98 films from 5 oblasts, which were judged by a seven-member jury. As a result, 20 highly competitive films were shortlisted, considered at a meeting of the commission, and during the event, the winners were identified and awarded prizes.
