HTP and SCITC with UNDP support will provide free courses at Coursera for Kyrgyz citizens

The High Technology Park with the assistance of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and support from UNDP within the framework of the project " Digital skills and opportunities for youth employment towards digital economy” announces a competition for a free online training programme (courses) at Coursera and invites temporarily unemployed people, students, government officials and employees to strengthen or master their skills, obtain knowledge from the best teachers and improve their competitiveness for subsequent job search. 

This initiative is part of HTP KR's cooperation with Coursera, the world's leading online platform for higher education, which includes courses from Stanford, Yale, Princeton and provides access to more than 4,200 courses from top universities and world-class companies, as well as free professional certificates upon completion. 

Programme participants can enroll in an unlimited number of courses in English and Russian based on their interests, needs and pace. This programme is aimed at those who have faced downsizing, are experiencing difficulties in finding a job or want to reorient themselves to a new industry, given the latest developments in the Coronavirus pandemic. All government agencies are also allowed to take courses (5,000 of them) in various areas.

The free training programme is available until 31 December 2020.

The number of participants is limited to 50,000 participants. Registration for the programme ends on 31 October 2020.

Coursera is a platform that provides access to free online courses in various areas. It is worth noting that several programmes can be completed here. This is a very good opportunity for every citizen of the country to realize themselves in any sphere, as well as to improve their digital skills.
