It is important not just to be able to use digital devices, but to have a deeper understanding of modern technology in order to use them effectively. According to the UNDP expert report, 99.6% of the population of Kyrgyzstan aged 15 years and over are literate (can read and write). This is a good prerequisite for the rapid development of digital literacy. As the country is experiencing high external labour migration, digital occupations are a good opportunity to earn money.
It was noted in the report that Internet users use their skills mainly for entertainment content, although they could use them as earning.
