Leonardo DiCaprio calls on 12 heads of states to gather in the Kyrgyz Republic to save snow leopards

Well-known Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio calls to sign the Save snow leopards petition.

Actor has more than 18 million followers on Twitter.

The petition goes to 12 leaders of countries where snow leopards live and who will gather at the international snow leopard forum in Bishkek 23-25 August.

"In August, this year, Kyrgyz Republic will bring together leaders from all twelve countries of the snow leopard’s habitat. Tell them to take decisive action to rescue the snow leopards. #SaveSnowLeopards. Sign the petition,” – discussed on the WWF website.

23-25 August, the International Forum on Snow Leopard Conservation will be held in Bishkek. The agenda of the event was published on the official website of the forum.

The International Forum on the Protection of the Snow Leopard and its Ecosystems will bring together the leaders and representatives of the governments of twelve countries of the snow leopard habitat, as well as other interested countries - leaders of international and donor agencies, environmental and scientific organizations.

This high-level event aims to further strengthen the efforts of several countries to protect the snow leopard, as well as to increase international support for the plan to provide 20 landscapes for the snow leopard by 2020.
