Conservation of Globally Important Biodiversity of the Western Tian Shan

Since 2017, UNDP and the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry have been implementing a joint project on biodiversity conservation in the Western Tian Shan with financial support from the Global Environment Facility. The goal of the project is to preserve the unique natural complexes and biodiversity of the Western Tian Shan, to contribute to the protection of rare and endangered species of fauna and flora.
This publication contains the most significant moments and achievements of the Western Tian Shan Biodiversity Conservation Project for the period from 2017 to 2020. The publication also contains basic information about the project, about the Western Tian Shan, a region with rich biodiversity, about the activities carried out and the results achieved.
