Today, the newly appointed Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program to the Kyrgyz Republic Mrs. Louise Chamberlain, presented her credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Chingiz Aidarbekov.

Handing over her credentials, Mrs. Louise Chamberlain affirmed that «The UNDP in Kyrgyzstan  will  continue supporting the process of consolidation  of parliamentary democracy, social, economic and environmental development priorities of the National Development Strategy 2018-2040».

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic congratulated Mrs. Chamberlain with start of the assignment in Kyrgyzstan. Mr. Aidarbekov noted fruitful and extensive cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Nations Development Program and expressed gratitude to UNDP for support to innovation and ongoing reforms in the country and implementation of national strategies and programs.

During the meeting, parties discussed key areas of further cooperation to promote the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals based on priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic, including elections, justice sector reform and regional development.

The parties also expressed confidence in further development of effective partnership and close collaboration in the interests of the people of Kyrgyzstan.
