Director of UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS Cihan Sultanoglu Arrived in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan – During 3 to 6 November 2014 Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS United Nations Development Programme Cihan Sultanoglu is visiting Kyrgyzstan. As part of her she plans to meet with President Almazbek Atambayev, Prime minister Joomart Otorbaev, ministers and civil society representatives to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation between UNDP and Kyrgyzstan in order to promote sustainable development of the country. Assistant Administrator also plans to meet with the Parliament Speaker Asylbek Jeenbekov.

Ms. Cihan Sultanoglu will take part in several events, including a ministerial conference as part of ADB’s  Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Programme, which will take place on November 6 in Bishkek. She will also attend an award ceremony of short films contest, which was organized in Kyrgyzstan as part of the UN Day celebration.

Ms. Cihan Sultanoglu was appointed Assistant Administrator of UNDP and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS United Nations Development Programme in 2012. More information here.
