Caravan of export to introduce the world to the Kyrgyz honey

The growth of sales of honey in Japan accelerated after 2014. The number of yogurt and honey consumers has grown. In 2015 there was a sharp jump in honey growth of 24% in price and. After the media enlightened on the benefits of digestion of consuming yogurt in combination with honey, the volume has significantly increased by 19%.

The State Agency for Investment Promotion and Export under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic has supported “Naryn uyuk” (Association of Beekeepers in Naryn oblast) in negotiations with Japanese retailers. So far, it has assisted in sending honey to Osaka, Japan.

Recently 21 February 2017, an information campaign “Export Caravan” has been launched in Bishkek and will be held in all oblasts of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Caravan intends to inform the companies in all regions of the country on export issues. It will also disseminate the information about the activities and services of the agency and other trade support institutions such as the Chamber of Commerce, JIA Association, the Association of domestic producers, “Agrarian Platform”, “Guarantee Fund” and experts in the quality field.

The first meeting was attended by representatives of Bishkek business sectors such as fruit and vegetables, clothing, meat, dairy products and bottled water.

Companies were presented a portfolio of Agency services, such as preparation of analytical materials based on statistical and data of analytics business provider “Euromonitor International Limited”.
