Clean for being greenOct 24, 2016
Students and Naryn celebrated the 71-th anniversary of the United Nations with involvement to action "Youth for clean city".
The UN Day celebration event was held with the participation of local students, organized jointly with the Mayor’s Office in Naryn. During the event, it was organized the cleaning of UNDP corner in the territory of the Akimalieva park.
Staff members of the UNDP regional office discussed with the students about the structure and history of the United Nations and called the future experts to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development.
"Such actions let us think it is important to begin from ourselves to watch the cleanliness of the world around you, and set it as example to others. These small but important steps to achieve sustainable development. I hope that young people and citizens will support the initiative and the city will be even cleaner and more comfortable,” - told Suyunbek Dastan uulu, a 2 year student of the Naryn Medical College.
The quiz, games and competitions were organized among participants at the end of the event which revealed the best experts on the history of the UN system. According to the results of competitions the winners were awarded with presents.
