Naryn – Moscow: prospects of cooperationMay 30, 2016
18-21 May 2016 the delegation of Naryn oblast, comprising representatives of local self-government and business-community visited Moscow.
The key purpose of the visit is development of partnership and business network between Naryn oblast and regions of the Russian Federation.
The delegation of Naryn oblast visited the “Selkhozlider” Company objects in Yaroslav oblast, which is specializing in production and installation of equipment for agriproduct processing including meat and milk. Selkhozlider Company was interested in joint implementation of projects in Naryn oblast within the framework of activity of Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
The Memorandum on cooperation were signed between the Government Representative in Naryn oblast and “Selkhozlider” Company based on the results of meetings.
The meetings with the management board of International Association of Entrepreneurs (IAE), management board of Russian-Kyrgyz Business Council (RKBC) and the Entrepreneurs of the Kyrgyz diaspora of Moscow were conducted during the visit. In the meetings they discussed cooperation in promotion of goods and products of Naryn oblast in Russian markets.
The delegation of Naryn oblast visited “Food City” trade agro-industrial complex, which included the trade representation of the Kyrgyz Republic. As the result of the meetings it was agreed to supply with test batch of products, such as honey, cheese and kurut, as well as the memorandum between IAE and the competent representation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Naryn oblast was signed.
The trip was supported by the invitation of the Russian part and under the financial support of “Comprehensive Development of Naryn Oblast” Programme, financed by the Government of the Russian Federation. The UNDP’s Naryn Area-Based Development Programme is being implemented in 30 villages of Ak-Tala, At-Bashy and Jumgal districts. The main goal of the Programme is to reduce poverty in Naryn oblast through establishment of conditions for sustainable socio-economic development. The Programme budget is 3.5 million US dollars.Contact information:
