Women's Empowerment

Making gender equality a reality is a core commitment of UNDP globally. “Gender” is no longer highlighted as a separate focus area, but as a cross-cutting theme that needs to be integrated into all areas of UNDP's work. UNDP Kyrgyzstan applies a multifaceted approach to promoting gender equality in all areas of its development work, with active participation of the government, civil society and local communities, including actors who have not been previously engaged in these activities.

Our Goals

We work to empower women and ensure that gender equality approaches are practiced de facto on all levels of Kyrgyzstan’s livelihood. One of the main goals is to create an enabling environment that will prevent gender discrimination in distribution of tangible and intangible resources.more
