In 2011 the first food products under the brand name Dary Batkena ("The Gifts of Batken") entered the Kyrgyz market making dreams of many Batken province entrepreneurs come true. To date, the alliance of manufacturers of products under the trademark of "The Gifts of Batken" includes five agricultural cooperatives and three private entrepreneurs.
Creation of this brand was supported by UNDP among many other things undertaken to support trade and export potential of local farmers' associations and cooperatives as part of the project titled "Wider Europe: Aid for Trade for Central Asia, South Caucasus and Western CIS countries." The brand has united a large assortment of agricultural products.
