Evaluation of the project “Operationalising Good Governance for Social Justice”

March 20, 2015

The project “Operationalizing Good Governance for Social Justice” ran for three years from October 2011 till October 2014. It was funded by the European Union and UN agencies (UNDP, UN Women, UNESCO and UNICEF).

The main goal was to demonstrate the operationalization of good governance in the context of social justice initiatives aimed at improving access to public service delivery and addressing the rights of the most vulnerable elements of three thematic constituency groups in Kyrgyzstan: children, women and youth. The total budget was EUR 5,318,899.00, of which 54% was contributed by the European Union and 46% by UN agencies.

The evaluation was carried out during October 2014 - that is in the final month of project activities - by a team consisting of a lead international consultant and a national consultant. The purpose was to assess the relevance, performance and success of the project.
