Analytical materials for members of government public advisory committees

This publication is a handbook for members of public advisory committees (PAC) organized within various state bodies, but it can also be interesting for other interested readers. One can find information about history, goals, tasks and functions of the committee, similar experience from around the world. It is meant to help current and future PAC members to structure a committee’s work with state institutions, effectively use all the tools and practices for implementation of PAC’s tasks and demonstrate the role of PACs in the society.

The publication was compiled by PAC members based on personal experiences as PAC members. Authors also took into account materials and recommendations resulted in from discussions with representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic President’s Office, MP, representatives of NGOs, international organizations and donor’s organization.

It was initiated by PAC’s Coordination Council and published with support of UNDP.
