Assessment of Development Results: The Kyrgyz Republic

Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of UNDP HQ visited Kyrgyz Republic in June 2016 aiming to conduct the evaluation of UNDP's results in the Kyrgyz Republic. This is the first Assessment of Development Results (ADR) for the Kyrgyz Republic and UNDP Kyrgyzstan has been selected for an ADR since its country programme cycle of 2012-2017 will end soon and with a view to contributing to the preparation of UNDP’s new programme starting from 2018, which is guided by the forthcoming United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for the Kyrgyz Republic starting in the same year. ADR mission had extensive consultations with the government representatives, donors and international organizations, and civil society.  

The purpose of an Assessment of Development Results mission is to:

  • Support the development of the next UNDP Country Programme Document;
  • Strengthen accountability of UNDP to national stakeholders;
  • Strengthen accountability of UNDP to the Executive Board.

IEO is pleased to present this Assessment of Development Results in the Kyrgyz Republic. The draft report has been shared with the national partners and presented at the stakeholders’ workshop where the results of the evaluation been presented to key national stakeholders. Taking into account the discussion at the stakeholder workshop in March 2017.
